Limonar is known for its grand villas, surrounded by lush gardens, encompassed by iron railings that allowed passers by to view the sumptuous homes. Development pressure on this area has caused some of the houses and villas to have been replaced by larger apartment blocks, but it has not lost its charm and splendor.
